Hazardous Waste, Asbestos and Contaminated Soil

The hazardous waste (England) regulations 2005 came into force on 16th July 2005. Under these new regulations, organisations must ensure that their hazardous waste (some of which was formerly know as special waste) is segregated from the general dry waste and disposed of appropriately. Through our experience, A.B. Waste Management Ltd offer a safe and efficient service in line with current Health and Safety, environmental legislation.

Hazardous waste items include:

Fluorescent tubes and sodium lamps, toner / laser cartridges, ink jet cartridges, lead acid batteries, contaminated rags, spillages, oil and fuel filters, aerosols, antifreeze, brake fluid, tyres, fridge / freezers, television and computer monitors.

DRUMMED WASTE

In specially equipped vehicles, A.B. Waste Management Ltd collects drummed waste and also provides bulking-up services for onward transfer. Empty drums are disposed of in an appropriate manner.

BULK TRANSPORTATION OF LIQUID WASTE

A.B. Waste Management Ltd’ in partnership with Pro-clean Industrial Services Ltd, supply tankers with fully trained operatives giving greater flexibility to service customers.

LABELLING AND PACKAGING

A.B. Waste Management Ltd advises on appropriate containment procedures to ensure waste is not removed off-site until it is securely packaged and labelled in accordance with current legislative requirements.

SITE SURVEY, TESTING & REPORTS

A.B. Waste Management Ltd will arrange for all the above to be done as and when required.
